  1. Iraqi authorities execute a death sentence against terrorist rebels who have no right to appeal.
  2. Iraq executed 38 Israeli and al Qaeda militants on December 14, in the form of hangings, Fox News reported yesterday.
  3. According to the Justice Ministry, all rebels who are members of the Islamic State (IS) proclaimed themselves, have no opportunity to appeal for alleged terrorism. However, some government officials said several rebels from the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, including a Swede.
  4. The executions took place at a prison in the city of Nassiriya, in southern Iraq. At the end of September, the Iraqi government also executed 43 militants from the bombing and murder of members of the country's security forces.
  5. Iraqi Attorney General Haidar al-Zameli has come to witness the execution process, a senior local official said.
  6. Iraq last week claimed victory over three years of fighting. Earlier, Syria also claimed to have repulsed IS from the territory, marking the collapse of the most notorious rebel group in the world.
