I need to block China & India from my movie streaming website
There are so many IP addresses from india and china who trying to hack into my website. Kindly help me to block these IP's from my website.

I thought to block these IP's from using htaccess file. But I found that blocking so many IP's from htaccess file will cause to reduce site efficiency. is it true?

And I found that add these IP's to cpanel IP blocker option will work for that. But I also found that adding blocking IP's that I want to block to the htaccess file also automatically added to that cpanel IP blocker option.

What is your thought about that and where I can get the full IP list for those two countries.?

Wordfence premium offers country blocking, I've been using it for years, works like a charm, moreover, they always update the IP addresses so your block list is up to date.
Get wordfence, it's great. However, only the premium version offers country blocking. But if you set up the firewall well you don't have to worry.
Search on google for tutorials on how to set up everything if you don't have much knowledge.

Country blocking in Wordfence is very simple and doesn't require any technical knowledge. You just go to the 'country blocking' panel, check the one you want to block and that's it. And you pay once a year, not monthly, which is another great plus.
You could use a ip to location service from various companies. I like maxmind's db (costs around $.0001 per query) for the same.

If you run your own web server, ie using CSF as the firewall, then you can block countries using the firewall accordingly. I have had some EU, China and RSS giving me a long list of hacking attempts which kind of worry me - I blocked any IPs detected from these countries, and so far, it helped save some bandwidth and CPU time on my dedicated server.

if your site is based in wordpress then use IP redirection WordPress plugin.
Just redirect all china/India to my site. I won't mind getting something for free...:D:D:D:D:D

I started to use geo block from geotargetly my friend. all traffic from china and India now can't get access to my website.it's amazing because it can Block visitors from particular pages or an entire website. I have a plan to redirect those traffic to another site and make some money from them too. also I started to use wordfence, now if someone access with using VPN and trying to hack my website, they will block from it.

What the previous poster already said about CSF is the best way. Get a host with WHM access and setup CSF to block by country at the firewall level.
