Buracona
Cape Verde also boasts of Buracona – it is a natural pool, a bay or lagoon situated in Sal Island of Cape Verde. From Palmeira, one of the more prominent villages in Sal Island, you can walk or ride 5 kilometers going north. The whole place is a protected area since it is part of the Buracona-Ragona countryside. Apart from the beautiful lagoon, the place is also a cave and they call it the “Blue Eye”.
