Amitabh Bachchan is an Indian film actor, film producer, television host, and former politician. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema.

Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his education at Delhi University and later pursued a career in acting. He made his acting debut in 1969 with the film "Saat Hindustani," but it was his role in the 1973 film "Zanjeer" that catapulted him to fame.

Throughout his career, Bachchan has appeared in over 200 films and has received numerous awards for his performances, including four National Film Awards and fifteen Filmfare Awards. He has also hosted several seasons of the popular game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati," the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."

In addition to his acting career, Bachchan is also known for his philanthropic work and has been involved in various charitable causes. He has also served as a member of the parliament and was awarded the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan, three of the highest civilian honors in India.

Despite his age, Bachchan remains a popular and influential figure in the Indian entertainment industry and continues to act in films and television shows.
