The USA Largest State by Area

Alaska is by far the largest state by area in the U.S.
It has almost one fifth of the total U.S. area.
In 1867, the U.S. Secretary of state bought Alaska from Russia for only 7.2 million dollars, which is only 5 cents a hectare.
What a bargain!
