Customer fiat funds are held in omnibus bank accounts at FDIC-insured banks. Each omnibus account is legally distinct from Gemini’s operating accounts. Digital asset funds are similarly held in omnibus accounts which are not commingled with Gemini operating accounts.

Gemini Trust Company, LLC, is a trust company chartered by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS). As such, we are a fiduciary that must adhere to the capitalization, anti-money laundering (AML), consumer protection, and cyber security requirements as set forth by the NYSDFS.
