The Statue of Liberty will close down for a big renovation project. The renovation project will begin on October 29th, one day after the monument’s 125th anniversary.The renovation will take up to one year Liberty Island will remain open during the renovation.

Some say the renovation story is just a cover story and that the Lady Freedom just hasn't gotten over a Donald Trump win and just needs to take a break and figure out her role in a Trump administration.
