from a whistleblower which contains the names
of every HSBC customer with an account in Jersey.
  
 HMRC investigators are sifting through 4,388
UK names holding £699m. The list is said to be
dominated by bankers and financiers working in

 These images were published by the Greek magazine
Hot Doc. They show a partial listing of 2,059 bank
accounts allegedly secretly held by Greeks in a
Swiss branch of HSBC.

 Hours after the magazine hit newsstands, Athens
prosecutors issued a warrant for the arrest of
Kostas Vaxevanis, the owner and editor of Hot Doc,
“where names from the Lagarde list have been
published,” the Athens police said in a statement
on their Web site. They said he was sought on
misdemeanor charges; the Greek media reported
that the charges were related to violating the
privacy of those on the list.

 Mr. Vaxevanis says the list he published is
the same one that was given by the then French
finance minister Christine Lagarde to her Greek
counterpart.
  
 Some of those named, said to include many prominent
Greeks, are suspected of using the accounts for
