define trolling arguably the topic here: "bitcoin.com is SCAMMY" is trolling Tasoshi: there are more and less subtle forms of trolling, but generally it is motivated by a will to disrupt how is bitcoin.com SCAMMY? I don't really use the site... but that seems to be a pretty inflammatory and trollish statement Tasoshi: it suggests that people trust software that has not been sufficiently reviewed and tested so, opinion are SCAMMY now? if you don't think bitcoin.com is scammy, by all means help yourself to its treasures I'm wondering how this channel reached the conclusion that bitcoin.com is "SCAMMY". Was there a vote, is there a linkable discussion about it? I always feel like I'm limited by what I can say because someone will complain about it's topic, context, or tell me it's trolling it is the opinion of whoever added that to the topic (and not against the opinion of those that could have changed it) that bitcoin.com is scammy, as a result (as far as i know) of what i just mentioned but the reality is there's 1 percent of people with nothing to do but complain I bring it up all the time. Wish ops would remove that. sounds like a pretty drastic and inflammatory statement to call bitcoin.com "SCAMMY" to be honest, so if anyone has the logs where this was discussed I'd be thankful I mean, complaining about trolls while having a trolling topic is pretty hypocritical Tasoshi: as i said, it's the opinion of those that are in charge. if you don't like it, i bet you can find the way out. why don't you instead assist and provide a link to where the topic was discussed, or is this a free for all channel where trolls can put whatever they want in the topic? Tasoshi: i provided you with some substance that motivated that line in the topic, which indicates it isn't intended simply to distrupt. it is there to protect the multitues of naive people that come in here. where was this opinion discussed and expressed helo. There are many ops here. there is some kind of obsession with making sure everything is in a very strict subject and it's insane and the mods here are of course phantomcircuit, a blockstream employee, Luke-Jr, a blockstream employee, and they calling bitcoin.com "SCAMMY" while presumably bitcoin.org is a saint I'm sure that will raise many suspicions on theymo's actions /Tasoshi kicked by Luke-jr * Topic for #bitcoin is: Current v0.12.0 | DO NOT POST ADDRESSES | https://bitcoin.org/ | bitcoin.com is SCAMMY | Rules: https://goo.gl/SJMlSL | https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Faq | No pricetalk (##bitcoin), ads, trades (#bitcoin-otc), begging, altcoins (like ethereum) | Webwallets probably steal your money | URLs are often MALWARE * Topic for #bitcoin set by kinlo!peter@unaffiliated/kinlo (Tue Feb 23 11:52:52 2016) I personally agree mentioning bitcoin.com in the topic is lame, but I don't consider it my place to remove it I was saying so I'd be thankful if logs can be provided where it was discussed to add "bitcoin.com is SCAMMY" to the topic so that people don't jump to conclusions whose place is it to remove it? it's been discussed. Tasoshi: the normal ops here. what is wrong with the wallet it recommends? what makes you not a normal op? I don't have op access. Someone just temporarily gave me +o the other night. I see what was the kick for btw since you seem to agree with me? FManTropyx: it recommends a different one based on who pay them, rather than based on quality Tasoshi: for trolling Tasoshi: your comments on blockstream, etc oh, it has Bitcoin Classic as "featured wallet" you agree with me yet I'm trolling? lol FManTropyx: "Bitcoin Classic" is an attack on Bitcoin, so… you're an attack on bitcoin kicking ppl for no reason like then calling open source forks an attack you know you creating a toxic atmosphere Luke-Jr ? * Luke-Jr sets ban on *!*@unaffiliated/tasoshi * You have been kicked from #bitcoin by Luke-Jr (my toxic poisons dis-join you from the channel)
