Villarrica Villarrica is an active volcano is Southern Chile with a prominence of 5,167 feet or 1,575 meters and elevation of 9,380 feet or 2,860 meters. The name of the volcano is in Spanish and it means “wealthy place”. The first people to go up the peak were the armies of Chile and they did it back in 1883. This is one of the most visited attractions in Chile and tourists like the climb Villarrica. It is very much possible to do so with a guide coming from the Pucon point.
