Top 10 Best Selling Games  1-Nier Automata Developer: PlatinumGamesPublisher: Square EnixPlatforms: PS4, Microsoft Windows Nier Automata's success must be heartening for staff at PlatinumGames too, who were totally new to the franchise. With this kind of reaction from gamers, we could expect the Nier series to really pick up steam. 2- For Honor Developer: Ubisoft MontrealPublisher: UbisoftPlatforms: PS4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One Pitting knights , samurai and vikings against each other in a brutal struggle for supremacy, For Honor might be a military history nerd's dream come true. Although the single player element in For Honor is somewhat lackluster, its deep and stylish multiplayer has attracted thousands of warriors to fields to test their mettle. At the time of writing, For Honor has amassed almost 900,000 units sold around the globe—that's a lot of warriors! 3- Horizon Zero Down Developer: Guerrilla GamesPublisher: Sony Interactive EntertainmentPlatforms: PS4 Horizon Zero Dawn has been dominating the PS4 market since its release in February, thanks to its intriguing post-apocalyptic setting that mashes up elements of Pre-history and machine uprising. The game's protagonist, badass tribal hunter/hacker Aloy, has captured the heart of many a gamer and is shaping up to be one of 2017's most iconic game heroes. Horizon Zero Dawn sold more than 2.6 million units in its first two weeks, making the open-world role-playing game the best-selling new first-party IP on PlayStation 4. 4- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Developer: CapcomPublisher: CapcomPlatforms: PS4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows Survival horror game fans have been cheering Resident Evil 7's return to the series' roots and there's no doubt that the game delivers on the classic elements that made early Resident Evil titles so compelling, while still being very much a good modern game. At the time of writing, Resident Evil 7 has managed to push over 2 million copies of the game into gamer hands/hard-drives. 5-Halo Wars 2 Developer: 343 Industries, Creative AssemblyPublisher: Microsoft StudiosPlatforms: Windows, Xbox One HaloWars2 was praised for its accessibility, and while it's certainly not the deepest RTS out there, the fact that it was the only representative of the genre on Xbox One helped it sell. There's also the fact that it offers a different perspective on the world of Halo, for those who were tired of seeing it just through the eyes of Master Chief. While official sales figures for Halo Wars 2 have not been released, we know that it debuted as the top-selling game across individual platforms in the week of its release, hot on the heels of For Honor when it came to sales across all platforms. 6- Legend of Zelda : Breath of The Wild Developer: Nintendo EPDPublisher: NintendoPlatforms: Nintendo Switch, Wii U What's more to say about Breath Of The Wild? The latest Legend of Zelda title is a masterpiece of game design and execution, the pinnacle of a series that has turned out some of the best games of all time. So far it's the saving grace of the Nintendo Switch console, which is otherwise suffering from a rather underwhelming line up of games. But sales-wise, the console has performed admirably, all of which can essentially be credited to Breath of the Wild. 1.5 million units of the Switch have been sold so far this year, with 89% of Switch owners having also picked up the new Zelda. With the additional 50,000+ sales from the Wii U, Breath of the Wild has been quite the success. 7-Persona 5 Developer: AtlusPublisher: AtlusPlatforms: PS4  Persona 5 is actually the latest in a long-running series of JRPGs, going back to the early Shin Megami Tensei titles, that have not traditionally sold well outside of Japan. But things have changed and Persona 5's combination of solid gameplay and an intriguing story inspired by occult lore and psychology is winning hearts and minds East and West. The game's high school student protagonist conducts two alternating lives over the course of a school year: a normal life involving going to class and working odd jobs, and a secret life with quests into the otherworldly Palace to fight hostile Shadows. Atlus announced that the game has shipped 1.5 million copies worldwide, only a few days after its launch in North America and Europe. They didn't say how many of these copies went to North America and Europe specifically, but Persona 5 reached 550,000 copies shipped in Japan (where it launched on Sept. 15) alone back in October. With sales still going strong and rave reviews, it looks like Persona 5 will be the JPRG series's big breakout hit. 8- Fifia 2017  FIFA 17 selling over 1.1 million copies in the UK in its first week is a record for the franchise. Some are predicting that the game will out-sell FIFA 13, which sold over 14.5 million copies. If so, EA can expect to recoup hundreds of millions of pounds. This will be a bitter pill to swallow for Konami, as PES 2017 has received critical acclaim, with many (including ourselves) lauding it as a better game than FIFA 17. Sub-50k sales is undoubtedly a smaller figure than the publisher was aiming for. It looks like FIFA's branding and access to licences has won the day once again. Konami is unable to feature the biggest teams and players - a draw for many gamers seeking to create their ultimate team. 9- Call of Duty : Black Ops ||| Breaking down the sales by platform, the game has sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 14.15 million units sold (56%), compared to 7.27 million units sold on the Xbox One (29%).  It also sold 1.78 million units on PlayStation 3 (7%), 1.75 million units on the Xbox 360 (7%), and 0.23 million units on Windows PC (1%). 10-Grand Thift Auto V In spite of having released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V is still massively successful, at least when it comes to sales figures. The game has now sold-in 75 million copies. Sold-in means copies sold to stores and not sold-through, which are copies bought by customers. Still, Grand Theft Auto V has sold 5 million more copies since November 2016 and 15 million more copies since last February.
