Apple stopped selling the iPhone 5 back in September but that doesn’t mean that Apple’s flagship from 2012 has completely vanished. No, it’s still alive and well thanks to carriers like Straight Talk and sites like eBay. It has been 480 days since the iPhone 5 first landed on shelves and we want to take an updated look at how the device’s performance. In September of 2012, Apple took the curtain down from around the iPhone 5 and its brand new iOS update, iOS 6. The iPhone 5 represented a massive change from the iPhone 4s. It introduced the current industrial design used by the iPhone 5s, a design comprised out of glass and metal. It introduced the 4-inch display standard, found on the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. And it also delivered 4G LTE data speeds to iPhone users for the first time. Needless to say, the iPhone 5 emerged as one of the best smartphones of 2012, a torch that it carried into 2013.
