Q: Fuck! How do I get started? A: Getting the first two levels is extremely hard, it's getting the ball rolling. Kill blue and yellow mobs and stay away from red and orange mobs. Once you get to level 2, it should be slightly easier, and then it gets really easy to start grinding and soloing dungeons. Q: How do I use the map? A: It's relatively simple. Zooming in and out on the map (M) will zoom in and out on the top right screen. I recommend that you use a medium zoomed out map, enough to see what's coming up. If you see blue, your local map is worthless. Q: How do I craft? A: Press C, most things need you to be next to something to craft, pretty much only potions are the things you can craft out in the open. Q: Where do I find ores? A: In dark areas, such as caves, or lowlit areas where the ground hangs over them. Be careful, bats can get you easy at low levels, bring a light. You can purchase an Iron Lamp at the marketplace, and you can turn it on using F. Q: What should I definitely know so I don't get assraped after level 2? A: Red potions for combat, everything else for sustenance/OCD topping off HP. Grab all of the heartflowers you can find. In the tundra, you can get iceflowers, and they can double when you melt them at a fireplace. In the marketplace, look for a sack looking place, and buy some flasks. Fill the flasks up using the crafting menu while standing in a place with water (almost all cities have a well inside them.) Get a ridable pet as soon as possible, and ride it for faster travels. I would say 150% is where you should be at. Q: I'm traversing the ocean, why am I so slow? A: You shouldn't be this far yet, but you should definitely pick up a boat as soon as the copper starts rolling in. It equips in Special, and you can activate it using G. Q: How do I put in points? A: At first you can put in points whenever you want, but if you want to switch to a different class style (such as the Warrior's Berserker/Guardian styles) you need to go to a trainer. It works much the same way as crafting, you have to skill while next to the trainer. Trainers are found in cities, it's pretty intuitive which one is which, although look for the Greatsword when you're finding the Warrior trainer. Some points you can redo on the fly to some degree, but anything above something like 5 points reallocated will require a trainer. Q: How do I get a pet? A: Put the right food in the "pet" slot, hold it out for long enough and tame the pet. Some easy beginner ones are the bunny, since the carrot isn't very rare at shops. You can use candy for taming cats, and some NPCs will give you clues on what foods should be given to each pet. Q: My pet ran out of droplets and I can't ride it anymore. A: Refill at a water source. Q: How do I name my pet? A: Press Enter, and then type /namepet [petnamehere]. For example, if I wanted to name my black cat Pluto, I would take him out by using its cage and putting it in the pet slot, and then typing in the name. Q: What are leftovers? A: This is what the Identifier is used for. Identified equipment will always be starred, that is, have better stats than other equipment. Q: What is the Power rating? A: It scales with level, and it allows you to equip higher level equipment that has better stats. It has diminishing returns, slowing down later into levels, until it hits the coveted 100. Q: What are Platinum coins? A: Platinum coins are received from bosses. Until you have Platinum coins, the Equipment Tower will not appear in the Adventurer's section of any city. It's pretty conspicuous, and it allows you to upgrade a Power level to your own level. For example, if you have a Power 38 Handmade Iron Greatsword, you can upgrade it to a Power 49 if you customized it. Q: How do I customize my weapon? [Warrior knowledge only] A: For wooden weapons, you need wooden blocks, which you can get from destroying bushes. For iron weapons, you need iron. A saw is needed to make wooden blocks out of wooden logs, and a furnace is needed to make iron blocks. Upgrading increases the damage as well as allows you to recreate your weapon aesthetically. Spirits can be added for bonus effects and decoration.
