in search for EU only, VPS
Im looking for a managed VPS provider, strictly EU provider, that also offer ddos protection.
It has turned out a bit more tricky than I thought to find such a host.

There is indeed a large base of EU providers to choose from. What are the hardware specs you would need? I assume you know some kind of config you want to be using? What do you want to host?

If you need managed you have to exclude all the "big boy" like OVH HETZNER that's not their job... go for a smaller ISP.
I would ask definitely for NVMe, it makes a difference in performace.
For us monitored server means that health and performance is monitored 24*7, we do it with a platform called Zabbix.

Depending on the provider, some do have internal uptime monitoring for your VPS so you need to ask the provider on this and what is included with the management.

We've found that DDoS protection on VPS can sometimes cause issues for other customers on the same node if an attack somehow does get through before the tweaking against it happens.
Have you considered a dedicated server instead? It will be much easier to find a DDoS protected dedicated server rather than a VPS.
