Cerro Rico, Potosi Cerro Rico is also called Cerro Potosi or Potosi Mountain. In Spanish, Cerro Rico means Rich Mountain and it is one of the landmarks and tourist destinations in Bolivia. The mountain is known as being created by “silver ore” and it gives a living to 15,000 families in Potosi, Bolivia. The mountain is quite high and is elevated up to 15,689 feet or 4,782 meters. Today, UNESCO considers Cerro Rico as a World Heritage Site in the endangered list.
