Spring is upon us and summer is well on it's way, so I thought I'd put together an album for summer in Florida. Since it gets roasty toasty in the sunshine state, I decided it'd be fun to show some of the differences in style. This was a little tricky since the state is so big, and the local culture between say Jacksonville and Miami can vary alongside the weather. Despite that, if you're living in Florida, chances are you're no more than about an hour's drive away from the beach. The attire definitely emphasizes lighter tones and bright pastels. Boat shoes are must for most people and of course sunglasses and hats. But the most noticeable differences are the liberal use of tank tops, board shorts and flip flops. It's not uncommon to see people hitting bars and restaurants at night sporting a tank and some flip flops, especially if you're right on the coast. I've warmed up to tanks over the last couple years (mostly out of necessity), and I think with the right fit and design, they can look great with a nice pair of shorts.
