SECTION C NOTE EXPANSION This question carries 15 marks. TIPS ON ANSWERING SECTION C 1. The question requires you to write a story in sequence based on a series of pictures. 2. Three or four pictures are given, followed by several helping words below each picture. 3. The pictures are usually about a story, an incident or an event. 4. The pictures can be a description of a person, an animal or a thing. 5. Study the pictures carefully to get an idea of the story. Look out for the following: • Who? • What? • How many? • Where? • When? • Why? • How? 6. Use the words given to form the sentences. The pupils must add their own words to elaborate on the sentences. 7. Make sure to use correct tenses. Write the story in a sequence. 8. Arrange the sentences in paragraphs because each picture shows a different set of ideas. 9. The composition should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion to the story. 10. Read through the composition again to check for any errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation. 11. The quality of the sentence carries more marks and not the number or length
