Le Morne Brabant
Le Morne Brabant is more like a mountain at the southwest portion of Mauritius and it is also lying on the grandness of the Indian Ocean. This peak is very important because it used to be a sanctuary for slaves during the 18th and 19th century who were running away from their captors or masters. This mountain has several small caves within and it became a settlement area for those slaves. Police had to go to the Le Morne just to tell the slaves hiding there that slavery has been abolished and that no man will ever be a slave in Mauritius. Anyway, Le Morne Brabant is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
