Former Barcelona B captain Armando Lozano has taken a swipe at Lionel Messi.

Lozano says Messi was protected in training and found the Argentine aloof.

He recalled to Mega TV: "From the first time I went to train with them, I like making contact and I went in with Messi.

"Dani Alves came to me and said, 'Tarzan, do not go in strong'.

"I think Cristiano is a better person and I do not know him. I did not work with Messi on a day-to-day basis, nor with Cristiano, but I think he's a better person."
