Google Maps on Mint
 
1st open the terminal, copy and paste those commands, and press enter after each line(if a command requests your password, type it in and press enter)
  
sudo apt-get update
  
sudo apt-get install marble git --no-install-recommends
  
mkdir -p $HOME/.local/share/marble/maps/earth/
  
cd $HOME/.local/share/marble/maps/earth/
  
cd maps/earth/
  
cd .local/share/marble/maps/earth/
  
git clone git://gitorious.org/marble-restricted-maps/virtualearth.git
  
Finally, open Marble from the Mint PPC menu, go to the "Map View" tab on the left, and choose "Google Satellite" 
  
For Street View, type in this URL in any browser with Javascript support, for example, Midori, Iceweasel or Iceape for Mint PPC:
  
www.instantstreetview.com

FASTEST way. On the terminal:

sudo apt-get install surf

Then press alt+f2, execute "surf instantstreetview.com" .

I added the Surf option because it's pretty fast from a G4 PowerMAC with Mint PPC. Don't know for a G3, but   Surf is the fastest JS browser for Linux and any OS.
