Name your SSD OS.

Step 1: Install Windows 10


 


Step 2: Setup your HDD to store all of your internet downloads, and everything you choose to be sent to your storage drive BEFORE downloading anything:


 


Go to "C:\Users\Kyan" > Right click 


on a folder (i.e Downloads) Click 


"Properties" Click "Location" Tab > Click 


"Move" > Select your secondary hard- 


drive. Congratulations, now all of your 


downloads will be saved your 


secondary hard-drive and not your boot 


drive. Do this with other folders like 


"Documents", "My Pictures" etc and your 


all good in terms of files.


 


Step 3: After you have completed the install of Windows 10: Download the latest bios for your Mother Board - See link #4 below


After installation, Unzip the latest bios version and place it into USB drive - FAT32


Boot into the BIOS, select "Advanced Mode", click "Tools" and go to "ASUS EZ Flash 2 Utility" Locate your USB drive - (Note: 15360MB)


 


Step 4: Install all the latest:


Intel drivers: (https://downloadcenter.intel.com)


Motherboard drivers: (https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_RANGER/HelpDesk_Download/) 


Graphics Card drivers: (http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers), no specific order. 


And keyboard drivers if prompted, update after major drivers.


 


Step 5: Stress test your CPU - http://www.mersenne.org/download 


Run program for 3-4 hours.

2: Select the following options: 


 


Burn-in


Streams burn-in


Post-FX


GPU temperature alarm


Log GPU data


 


Benchmark duration (ms) 600,000


 


Keep the Application running for 5-20 minutes.
