Satoshi developed the original Bitcoin protocol and the Blockchain technology.
There have been many people claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto in recent years, or people the media suspected of being Satoshi Nakamoto. All of these have been proved false.
One way of proving a person is Satoshi Nakamoto is to sign a message with the keys from the first Bitcoin blocks which Satoshi mined. So far no one could do it, and some denied even being Satoshi.
Satoshi’s real identity still remains unknown.
