Christiansted National Historic Site One of the places to visit in United States Virgin Islands is the Christiansted National Historic Site. This site was recognized as a protected landscape and seascape with IUCN category V specification. It was founded in 1952 and it welcomes more than 100,000 visitors yearly. The whole site is comprised of six other structures. Some of the buildings include Fort Christiansværn, Church of Our Lord Sabaoth Steeple Building and the Government House. These buildings were erected sometime in the 18th and 19th century.
