Donald Trump has apologized after video emerged showing him making lewd, sexually charged comments about women in 2005.

The Republican nominee said that he was sorry "if anyone was offended" over what he called "locker room banter".

Mr Trump is heard saying in the clip, obtained by the Washington Post, that he tried to sleep with an unknown woman, and used graphic terms to describe her body.

He said he frequently tried to kiss beautiful women and boasted that "when you're a star they let you do it".
