Who:  Treboros ( @terbo58 ) and members of Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior Crew 

What: Treboros will stream directly with Greenpeace activists aboard the Rainbow Warrior ship, one of the historical fleet that has been on the front line of Greenpeace actions globally.   There will be an opportunity for viewers to interact and ask direct questions to the attending crew members, some of whom will share a personal accounts of the Artic 30.  There will be a streamed tour of the ship that will include areas of the ship not normally accessible to the public.

When:  Saturday, November 16, at approx 3:00 pm Pacific Time (6:00pm EST -- Midnight Paris/Madrid Time GMT+1)

Why:   On September 19th, the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise was boarded by the Russian Coast Guard and the crew seized at gunpoint. The ship was then towed to port  and Twenty-eight Greenpeace International activists, as well as a freelance videographer and a freelance photographer, have been charged with piracy and hooliganism, charges which carry a maximum sentence of 15 and 7 years, respectively.  These detained Activists are now globally referred to as "The Artic 30".

Short Background:  Founded in 1971, Greenpeace is the largest independent direct-action environmental organization in the world protecting ancient forests, oceans and committed to stopping global warming.  Their  goals are to defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions.  They do not solicit or accept funding from governments, corporations or political parties and refuse all donations they believe could compromise their independence, aims, objectives or integrity.
