Today, Hassel Island is considered a U.S. Historic District site which lies in the Caribbean Sea. It is also in the list of U.S. National Register of Historic Places because of its historical value. This site was once active during the Napoleonic Wars. The island is now privately owned and it is very exclusive too. There are not many residents in the area but tourists are welcome to explore it as it is one of the best places to visit in United States Virgin Islands.
