Today, January 20th 2017, marks the day of Donald J. Trumps inauguration as the 45th president of the United States of America. He’s one of the most controversial people of our time, to say the least. If you think back a year or longer, most people wouldn’t have believed he would actually become president. But yet, here he is. So the big question is: How will Donald Trump influence the development and success of Bitcoin? As with any other political issue regarding Trump and his team, it’s still quite unclear what to expect. However, it looks like no matter what his broader policies are, Bitcoin is set to thrive under his presidency. Is Bitcoin actively endorsed by the Trump administration? Do Trump team consists of a couple people that are very pro-Bitcoin? Peter Thiel, the German-American entrepreneur who founded Paypal in 1998, had envisioned something similar to Bitcoin. Even though that vision never came true with Paypal, Thiel today has joined Trumps transition team and has been using his contacts to get other experts on into the Trump cabinet of which two are already shortlisted. Will this be a good sign for Bitcoin? One member of Trumps cabinet leading the largest office of Trumps Executive Office, who is even more important and outspoken about Bitcoin: Mick Mulvaney has been educating members of Congress about Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. Mick Mulvaney said “Blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the financial services industry, the U.S. economy and the delivery of government services, and I am proud to be involved with this initiative". Do you agree with Mulvaney? Is it certain to you that Mulvaney and the Thiel gang will surely spread the word about Bitcoin? If Trump excels or holds the low expectations: will Bitcoin win? What's your take in this?
