The series begins with the formation of the group of assailants / hijackers who will put the assault plan into practice. Eight people with different specialties are chosen for this select group of criminals, and each is called by the name of a city in the world: Tokyo, Berlin, Denver, Moscow, Oslo, Helsinki, Nairobi and Rio.

The mind behind the plan is Professor, a calculating and ashamed man who gathers his eight soldiers for five months in a house in rural Toledo. There, as a teacher, he goes over the details of the plan and all the variables of the events. But, as much as he thought of everything, something always ends up escaping, you see.

The assault takes place right in the first episode. With red overalls and caricature masks by Salvador Dalí, the group invades the Casa da Moeda and takes 67 people hostage. Among employees and a group of teenagers on tour, three people stand out: Alison Parker, who is the daughter of the UK ambassador; Arturo Román, who is the director of the Casa da Moeda; and Mônica Gaztambide, secretary and lover of Arturo, who has just discovered that she is pregnant with him.

With the Professor outside and the assailants inside the Casa da Moeda, things start to get complicated and even romantic affairs that shouldn't exist exist, as between Rio and Tokyo. In fact, the characters' love relationships are their biggest weaknesses: Arturo is in love with Monica, who falls in love with Denver, and he with her. Tokyo and Rio fall in love from the beginning, but Alison Parker also catches his eye. Berlin and Ariadna start a very abusive relationship still inside the House. There is the Professor together with Raquel, who breaks the heart of the poor policeman Angel. Even thug Helsinki feels something for Arturo. Of these, only Moscow - who does everything for his son Denver - Oslo - who has a strong friendship with Helsinki - and Nairobi, who had already shown some interest in the Professor, are saved.

Moscow feels sick at the thought that his son may have killed Monica. Denver takes his father and other hostages to take a breath at the top of the bank. It is there that Arturo discovers that Monica was "killed" by Denver. The bank's director freaks out and, as they are all dressed in red and masked, Raquel suspects that he is one of the kidnappers. It gives the green light to snipers.
