Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford is the club's 4th youngest starter in the Premier League who marks his birthday today. As he celebrates his 20th birthday on Tuesday when United face Benfica in the Champions League, perhaps the biggest testimony to his talent is that he's getting a proper chance to play under Jose Mourinho. The Englishman has shown the mentality to thrive under the toughest of managers and seems to have impressed the Portuguese for the umpteenth time during games. Rashford has appeared in 16 first-team matches for United, scoring seven goals, and even more impressively has started seven of their 10 Premier League games, coming on as a substitute in the other three. Rashford's mentality is as important as his pace and trickery. England manager Gareth Southgate, who views that side of the game as extremely important in pressure situations, is also a big fan. Rashford became the 4th youngest Manchester United player when he graced the stage and made his Premier League debut against Arsenal. He seized on his chance when injuries forced Louis van Gaal to give him a debut aged 18 in February 2016, scoring twice against Midtjylland, and he hasn't looked back since. Other youngest starters before him at Manchester United include Federico Macheda who remains the youngest player to have started a Premier League game for United at 17 years and 254 days when he faced Middlesbrough in May 2009. At 18 years and 21 days, Phil Neville is the second youngest player with his first start in the Manchester derby in February 1995. At 18 years and 120 days, Rafael is United’s third-youngest starter in the Premier League when he faced West Brom in 2008. At 20, Marcus Rashford already has 26 senior goals for United – a tremendous figure for a player just leaving his teens. Happy Birthday, Rashford!
