Sketch from a Fan-Made Star Trek textbook I'm making Free to gather. Tales of the USS Farrow Fan-made textbook Series originally created by Gene Rodenberry. All credits go to the original authors. Chapter 1 - When the tales begun Finally, freedom. The USS Farrow, an Ipsilon-class starship, has been finally finished. I have been appointed as its captain, and I'll do everything I can to insure that we are going to accomplish our mission. My name is Mason Harvey; Captain of the USS Farrow. -Captain's log, 2449 -Good morning, crew. I have been appointed as your captain. Today we're leaving the spacedock, as you see. Today, we'll pioneer. We'll go farther than the USS Voyager, explore strange new worlds, far beyond our knowledge. Today, we are making advancements on the story of Starfleet. Today, we're going to explore parts of this Quadrant we didn't even know about. We are going to inaugurate the first Ipsilon-class. Come on over to the Mess Hall and get your cake. It was a day of pride. The newly-built Farrow was going to be launched, under the callsign NCC-4962. A prototype that is going to do things right. CURIOSITY: The Ipsilon-class cruisers do not exist in Canon. But they were created specially for this book. Following are the specifications: It possess 7 decks, with Deck 1 being the bridge, Deck 2-3 being crew quarters, Deck 4 being the Sickbay and Holodecks, Deck 5 the "Mess Hall" and more crew quarters, Deck 6 being the Engineering, and Deck 7 being the Secondary engineering and the Hangar. It holds up to 685 crewmen. It does not have a removable disk section like the Enterprise does, but it is furnished with a Battle Bridge and is able to detach some of its sections to create extra forces in battle, very much like the "prototype" saw in Star Trek: Voyager. It also features 5 phaser arrays, 3 torpedo launchers and Warp 10 capability. BUT as saw in Voyager, warp 10 is capable of doing odd stuff to your body, but Starfleet scientists found a way to counter that, via an injection all personnel operating on that vessel must be applied with. It features a Anti-matter to Matter warp engine, another prototype that made Warp 10 possible to the Federation's Starfleet. It also possess some traces of Borg tech, after many Drones were recovered from destroyed Borg Cubes. Also, the Farrow is able of tearing one Cube apart, due to a new, joint-ops prototype, the "Zekran Cannon". It fires a heavily focused blast of matter, pretty much simulating a Dwarf Star, that leaves a clean and destructive trail whenever it goes through. -Agh. I know this is hard, but really? Mantaining a warp 10 core? This is almost impossible. - Says the chief engineer Mark. -Look, I'm just the operations officer, I know very little about engineering. Anyways, I'm here because of the calibrating of the sensor array. - Comments the operations officer Jerry.
