Sarez Lake
One of the few lakes in Tajikistan is the Sarez Lake. The inflow and outflow of the lake comes and goes to Murghab River and it was formed because of an earthquake more than one hundred years ago. Experts are saying that if there was another earthquake to happen in the future, the area would cause a huge flood on the terrain below it. The lake is 10,705 feet above sea level and it is surrounded by a mountainous region.
