Oh I’m sure I was partly to blame, but I know for certain relationships, I made it very clear I was only interested in being friends. It was hurtful when, after talking and seeing each other for years, they ended all communication. Made me feel like, “OK, so my vagina is more important than me as a friend?” But it’s more complicated than that, I guess.

My question for everyone: is it possible for a woman to have close guy friends if she is in a serious, monogmous relationship? Close as in, hang out alone, talk often, etc. Thoughts?

That’s a load of crap. 

Plenty of my female friends are really cool people I like hanging out with frequently, and are attractive to boot.  And I still am not interested in sleeping with them.  We’re not all moronic slaves to our testes. 

I might think, “If things were different, I’d consider dating her” with some of them, but that’s about as far as it goes.
