Eugene Goodman risked his life to save others. He is a HERO! Eugene confronted white Supremacists and used himself as a shield to provide cover for the evacuation of lawmakers. He was alone in a hallway when the mob reached him, and Congress was able to safely evacuate. He lured the mob away from lawmakers, drawing them in the opposite direction and up the stairs.
Because of him, Congress safely evacuated and no lawmakers were assassinated on that devastating day.
