Maggetan Magetan is a district in East Java province, Indonesia. Its capital is Magetan. The district borders Ngawi regency in the north, the City of Madison and Madison County in the east, Ponorogo, as well as Karanganyar and Wonogiri (both included Central Java province). Iswahyudi Airport, one of the main base for the Indonesian Air Force in eastern Indonesia, located in the district Maospati. Magetan regency consists of 19 districts, comprising 208 villages and 27 urban villages. Magetan crossed by major highways Madiun-Surabaya-Yogyakarta and railway lines across the southern island of Java, but the line is not crossed Magetan regency capital. The only station located in the district of West Station Magetan is located in the District of West. Mount Lawu (3,265 m) is located in the western part of Magetan, namely the border with Central Java. In mountainous areas there are Sarangan (1000 m asl), one of the mainstay attractions of this district, which is located on the tourist track Magetan-Sarangan-Tawangmangu-Karanganyar.
