Hey all I'm gonna name all the wallets starting with the Desktop based ones.

1: Satashi Client
  A bit difficult to use, Extremely good security, and a few advance features
  This was the first wallet and cn be found on bitcoin.org

2:Armory
  Most advance desktop wallet runs along side Satashi *must have satashi client to use*

3: Electrum
   Very light desktop client would suggest for a to someone new

Allright those are the desktop clients lets move onto the online

1: Instawallet pretty sure is gone for good

2: Coinbase
   Very easy to use online wallet security is decent

3: BlockChain 
   The online wallet i'd suggest for newbies

There are some mobile options I don't feel the need to list seeing as security on them isn't very good. also use a desktop for like savings and an online wallet for spending or like a debit card
