Syrians vote in Parliamentary elections

Syrians in the government-held areas of the country voted in Parliamentary elections on Wednesday. "We are voting for the sake of the Syrian people and for the sake of Assad," one of the voters said. The election is being conducted independently of a United Nations-led peace process, which is aimed at finding a political solution to the five-year-long conflict.
