Former Israeli President, Shimon Peres, was in the hospital after experiencing pain in the heart, 10 days after he suffered a minor heart attack. Peres, 92, underwent minor surgery last week due to narrowing of the arteries. His spokesman said on Sunday (24/1) that Peres was hospitalized back in a Tel Aviv hospital "for observation and tests". He will undergo a surgical procedure, according to Haaretz. Peres twice became prime minister of Israel and was president from 2007 until 2014. On Sunday, he was found by the doctors that he had an irregular heartbeat, his spokesman said. Peres receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994 for his role negotiating the Oslo peace agreement with the Palestinians a year earlier. This Nobel gets together the Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, who was later killed, and the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat. He was defeated in the general election in 1996 by the leader of the opposition Likud, Benjamin Netanyahu.
