I will say 3 factors lead to domestic violence in every relationship 

1. Lack of understanding 
2. Inferiority complex and 
3. Lack of leadership

1. Lack of understanding: in my opinion, understanding is the most important in any relationship not love. Where there is no understanding there will always be commotion. For instance, if the wife is stubborn, the husband has to be patient and if the husband has lost his job the wife has to show understanding.

2. Often people result to domestic violence when one partner is doing fine and the other feels inferior because they are not doing as okay as the other. 

3. Lack of direction: before entering into any relationship, the direction, objective and priorities of the relationship should be discussed, understood by both partners, agreement box ticked and submitted. If this' not done, it could result in frustration which could lead to domestic violence.
