Stephen Spielberg is like the "Dr. Dre" of the movie world. Dreamworks studios has a lot of good movies in their arsenal and a lot of actors got their big break from working with him. He also inspired a lot of producers and directors.
Another director/producer I love is Quentin Tarentino (I hope I didn't murder his name). His movies have this Weird but laudable vibe to them.
My favourite movies from Spielberg are and always will be Schlinders list and the colour purple.
