http://www.sundayobserver.lk/2007/03/04/main_Magazine.asp http://www.sundayobserver.lk/2007/03/04/mag06.asp Seven budding young exponents of Kandyan dancing will dance their way into the hearts of the audience as Pubudu, Manuri and Savindri, they enthrall them with their maiden public performance to be held at the Lionel Wendt theatre on March 6 at 6.30 p.m. They will prove that Kandyan dancing is an ideal form of dance that nurtures latent talent finds expression in creative skills at a very early age. These seven pupils, Wathsala Fernando, Manuri Ratnaweera, Savindri Perera, Pubudu Apparakke, Chamini Herath and Sharindri Abeysinghe are students of Museaus College while Rasela Jayasooriya is a student of ACBT Colombo. They have been tirelessly committed to dance to perfect their skills and achieve the heights they have soared to. They will dance to prove that not only to the Sri Lankan lover of Kandyan dancing, but to the whole world the intricacies of the steps which depict the various facets of our ancient culture.
