"A Wolf Within Me" by Jared Falvo

There is a wolf within me
He paces nervously
Bound by these strong fetters
Called humanity

Were that I could break them
And let him join his pack
I'm sure he'd run forever
Never looking back

Someday it may yet happen
I'm sure it will be great
To let him be with all his kind
As is his destined fate

But what of me and mine own self
Shall I be left behind?
"No.", says wolf.  "Ye shall not."
He answers in my mind

"There are some things that take their time."
He tells me honestly
"But when it's time, I'll take you too."
He says with certainty

Humanity binds him within me
I accept without concern
His freedom will not be given
But achieved from what I learn
 
There is a wolf within me
He may be in you too
Learn just how to set him free
And you'll see what a wolf can do!
