"This is the worst news we've heard yet," said Ben, shaking his head in disbelief as he stared at the screen of his phone. They were currently in one of their meetings where they planned for a big project that was coming to fruition in just a few days. All eyes were on him, waiting for him to speak again. He took a deep breath before speaking. "We're going public with it." 
Ben turned around in his chair, staring at everyone as if they had no idea what that meant or how dire it sounded. "We're going public with what?" someone asked.
He looked around and caught sight of Phil standing there leaning against the doorway of his office. He waved, gesturing that Phil could come closer. The engineer did so, slowly making his way over to them with the rest of the room still filled with people waiting to hear about their new product.
"Our research has revealed that an enormous amount of money have been invested into bitcoin mining. In fact, this company has been investing almost 100% of its resources into these fields," explained Ben, looking back over to the screen in front of them. As the numbers came up, he continued. "It' ll cost a fortune to keep all of our investors happy, and we'll need every bit of our funding to make it happen."
There was silence. Everyone's attention was completely focused on him now. He swallowed hard.
"I know," he whispered. "I'm not sure how else to say this, but…
