The instance of a Korean lady who abandoned from North Korea, made another life for herself as a TV character in the South and afterward "returned home" to the socialist state three years after the fact has left South Koreans asking why such individuals come back to the abusive state they once fled. 

South Korean police are endeavoring to decide if Lim Ji-hyun was seized in April, when she headed out from Seoul to China and after that vanished. A video highlighting her was posted a week ago on North Korea's legitimate site (Uriminzokkiri), and in it she says life in the industrialist South resembled "living in hellfire."
