The first three games were great, but then it went downhill with Enter the Dragonfly and A Hero's Tail. I know in 2006, they rebooted the series as The Legend of Spyro, but I wasn't a fan of it. It was no longer a collectathon game but a melee combat adventure that was somewhat boring. I liked them, but yeah not as much as the original 3, but I can't say I necessarily disliked them. I think the Legend of Spyro series is where it started to seriously go downhill from videos and screenshots I've seen since I never played. Wonder why they took that turn. The later installments ranged from absolutely-terrible to decent-at-best. Also, there were many changes added to the franchise from these newer developers that threw people off including myself when all that was wanted was a game in the same style as the original trilogy but expanded upon. I eventually gave up on ever seeing a future Spyro game as good as the original trilogy and I'm sure many others have as well. If they bring it to Switch fingers crossed then I'm sure they'd bring Spyro too given if they do a Spyro nintendo switch collection, which is pretty likely since they said they would do more collections due to the success of Crash Bandicoot.
