African Renaissance Monument
This monument made of bronze is 49 meters tall. You can easily locate the African Renaissance Monument as it is placed just outside Dakar, the capital of Senegal. You’ll see that this statue faces the Atlantic Ocean and is placed on one of the twin hills of Collines des Mamelles. It was dedicated last April 4, 2010, along with Senegal’s celebration of its 50th year of independence from France. This statue is visited often because it is the tallest in all of Africa.
