The official website of the Russian Muftis Council (muslim.ru) has been hacked and defaced by anti-Muslim hackers. The attack came just as Muslims were preparing to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

The defacement page also displayed a message in Russian which reads something like this:

“Welcome Muslims. Appeal to you, residents of Moscow. You are already in a jam. We are well aware that the pig is a dirty animal for you, so here's a pig with the Quran in its mouth. Now, your domain name is profaned, and you cannot keep your website here anymore. Soon we will bury pigs in all your mosques. Happy holidays, [expletive]”
