I just bought a domain and set it up in Google Apps for a migration from Gmail just to see I can't migrate my identity. Sorry Google but you really stepped in it this time!!!
Did anyone find any way that doesn't take me going back and fourth from each account for all the services? Also feel that the Apps promotional material is a bit misleading. It will not transfer, in its entirety: email labels, calendar, contacts, docs, history.
So they now appear in my Docs list and I can edit as if they were mine. Not ideal perhaps, but the best deal going. Ended up on this thread only to discover what I want to do full transfer of existing account data to apps account is next to impossible, or at least horribly complex and time consuming. So here I sit now with two distinct Google identities with the same email address by the way! There are guides on the web for jumping through lots of hoops and spending hours using various methods to achieve portions of this, but the end result is never perfect and it's incredibly time consuming. Over time, more features will become available. I've sent a support request asking for guidance.
