I want to enroll in Middle College High in order to receive both a broader and more in depth educational experience than at a traditional high school.  Middle College High School offers an increased range of educational opportunity for my future, and I plan to take advantage of this.  I plan to go to a four year university, and Middle College will give me a head start and offers me an opportunity to further explore what might interest me academically in the future.  I know that I will do well at Middle College because I put forth all my best effort into what ever I set my mind to, and I hold my head high no matter what the outcome.  For example, even though I got second place at the State Science Olympiad competition in “Wright Stuff”, I am proud of the outcome and this year I have more of a challenge, getting first.  Thus, I know that I will perform well at Delta. 

I believe that I can perform better at Middle College than at a regular High School because I believe that at Middle College I will be able to use my mind to its fullest potential.  I feel that traditional classes at traditional High schools may not present a challenge in the work and curriculum they give.  Currently at Elkhorn, the work we are given and the curriculum we are taught goes far more in detail and depth than the work and curriculum taught at other middle schools. Thus, I am well prepared for the challenges of college classes.  I am amazed at the increased levels of information and knowledge that I am taught by my Elkhorn teachers compared to the basic standardized information provided by our standardized textbooks.  I am concerned that the curriculum that I will be taught at other traditional high schools may be too simplified, and that I may not be challenged to my full potential.  I know that if I get into Middle College, I will be challenged to learn to my full potential, and will excel in the curriculum.  As an added benefit to this challenge, I will be rewarded for the extra hard work that I put forth by means of college credits.  I know that I will be a great fit, and that I will thrive at Middle College.
