Expert Picks and Best Bets: Spurs vs. Warriors

The line is Warriors (-5) at home over the Spurs. I asked our crew what they thought of the line, the matchup, and what props they liked for tonight. Prop lines via the Westgate Super Book in Las Vegas.

James Herbert: The line seems about right to me because of the Duncan absence and the Warriors' 20-0 record at home. There is no way I'd actually bet on this matchup, but my instinct is to take the Spurs simply because I'm guessing that it will be decided by a possession or two. If the game was in San Antonio and the line was reversed, I'd take Golden State.

Best bets: Over on the 18.5 3-pointers from both team combined, under on the largest lead of 16.

Zach Harper: I like the Warriors -5 against the Spurs because of Tim Duncan absence. I know the Spurs don't get affected by guys in and out of the lineup but it just might matter against the Warriors. I don't think it kills them though. Warriors win by 6 or 7 and it's free throws during the foul game to extend time. If you look at it as Warriors -3 because it's an even matchup in Oakland and tack on two extra points for Timmy, I think it's a very fair line.

Ananth Pandian: This seems like a very accurate line, considering that the game will take place at Oracle Arena and that the Spurs will be without Duncan, who is vital to San Antonio's defensive success. The game will come down to execution though as both teams are extremely well-coached and are quite evenly matched. If I had to pick, I would say Golden State wins the game mainly because of their homecourt advantage.
