Iles des Madeleines
You can reach the Iles des Madeleines if you go west of Dakar. This is a national park that houses Stone Age tools in its main Island called Sarpan. It boasts the honor of being the smallest national park in the world and it is also listed as part of the UNESCO Tentative list. However, being barren does not mean there is nothing to see. If you are adventurous and wildly spirited, you may spot the rare Phaeton here. IT is a bird that can only be seen in Galapagos and this island, too.
